With fully financed options for either a one-year Honors degree or a two-year Master’s degree in any discipline at a recognized South African university, the 2025 Mandela Rhodes Foundation (MRF) Postgraduate Scholarships are now open.
By providing future African leaders with the tools, they need to promote equality and prosperity, the goal is to honour Nelson Mandela’s legacy. The award offers financial assistance as well as enrolment in a leadership program that links together young African activists with like-minded peers.
With funding for housing, research grants, tuition, and other expenses, the Mandela Rhodes Scholarship guarantees full assistance for students during their academic career.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following requirements before being selected:
- Be a citizen of an African country.
- Between the ages of 19 and 29
- Should have an undergraduate degree with excellent academic results (above 70% or upper-second class Honours) by 1 Jan 2025
Benefits:
- Tuition and registration fees determined by your university or institution
- An allowance for study materials determined by the MRF
- Allowances for accommodation and meals determined by the MRF
- An allowance for medical aid determined by the MRF
- A personal allowance determined by the MRF
- Research and conference grants are available upon request
- Economy-class flights for international scholars from their home countries to their institutions at the beginning and end of their studies
