Fully Funded | Colombia Government Scholarship 2024

The Colombia Government Scholarship 2024 is now available! For the academic year 2024, applications are now being accepted for this fully sponsored opportunity. Please be aware that while applicants of all other nations are invited to apply, Colombian citizens are not eligible for this programme. The Colombia Government Scholarship provides funding to students attending Colombian universities for master’s, doctoral, or specialty-level coursework. ICETEX, a Colombian government organization devoted to advancing higher education, is in charge of overseeing and providing funding for this scholarship.

When it comes to financial support, the Colombia Scholarship provides all-inclusive coverage for all chosen applicants. This includes health insurance, medical bills, tuition, visa fees, living expenses, monthly support, installation charges, and books. Notably, this scholarship programme does not require the IELTS. In 2023, a total of 3,100 applications were received for the scholarship program, out of which 105 applicants were ultimately selected to receive the scholarship.

Program Duration:

  • Spanish Language Course: Up to 6 months
  • Specialization: Up to 18 months (3 academic semesters)
  • Master’s: Up to 24 months (4 academic semesters)
  • Doctorate: Up to 48 months (8 academic semesters)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to foreign citizens of any nationality; the scholarship is available to all students from outside Colombia.
  • Not applicable to Colombian citizens or nationals.
  • Must not have any marital or de facto relationship in Colombia.
  • Must be under the age of 50.
  • Hold a professional, undergraduate, or graduate degree in any field of study.
  • Applicants can apply for up to three-degree programs.
  • IELTS is not required.

Weightage for Selection:

  • Professional experience: 20%
  • Academic achievements: 30%
  • Alignment between academic and professional objectives: 30%
  • Reciprocity of cooperation from the applicant’s home country: 10%
  • Geographic location of the Colombian Teaching Center: 10%
