Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants are excluded if they have completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Zurich or ETH Zurich University.
- Completing a postdoctoral (PhD) program should not take longer than two years prior to the submission date.
- Doctorate candidates who have not yet finished their work must certify the date of their defence, which must be approved by their adviser or department chair.
- Within the three years prior to the submission date, applicants should not have resided in Switzerland or been primarily involved in activities (job, study, etc.) there for more than twelve months.
- The University of Zurich, EPF Lausanne, PSI, WSL, Empa, and Eawag research institutes, or any major activity (work, study, etc.) at any of these institutions for more than six months in the three years preceding the application deadline disqualify applicants.
- A minimum of one peer-reviewed scientific publication or recognition from a doctoral thesis prize is required to be eligible for the ETH Zurich Postdoctoral Fellowship.
- Candidates who meet the requirements would be officially rejected.
