Since its founding in 2016, ARTEFFECT has inspired millions of students worldwide to use visual art and Impact Statements to imaginatively retell the tales of historical unsung heroes. The competition, which is open to students in grades 6 through 12, is looking for unique contributions that present novel viewpoints on people who had significant historical influences. With over $16,000 in prizes—including a $6,000 grand prize and other categories—ARTEFFECT offers aspiring artists, historians, and students interested in pursuing their talents in the arts a significant platform. Students can demonstrate their commitment to interdisciplinary study, social change, and creative development by participating for free.
