UNU Junior Fellows Internship 2024 in Tokyo, Japan (Fully Funded)

The UNU Junior Fellows Internship 2024 is being offered by the United Nations University (UNU) in the UNU Office of the Rector in Tokyo, Japan. The UNU headquarters offers the chance to work as a Junior Fellow during this four-month fellowship. Applications are invited from graduate students who are interested in the activities of the United Nations. Fellows will begin work on August 12, 2024, and the internship will last 16 weeks, ending on December 20, 2024.

UNU will pay for living expenses and transportation from the fellows’ home country to UNU offices in Shibuya on a monthly basis. Junior fellows will be granted a monthly leave entitlement of 1.5 days, with official UNU holidays and weekends being observed as off days. Objectives and Duties of the Intern:

  • The program’s objective is to give applicants a chance to learn more about the roles and activities of UNU.
  • Interns will work with a variety of fellows, benefiting from their advice and mentoring.
  • Interns will gain practical knowledge of UNU’s activities.
  • Meeting minutes documentation is the intern’s responsibility in addition to taking part in meetings.
  • Compiling and disseminating event reports, newsletters, and other communication materials will be among the tasks.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students from all over the world can apply for the Fellowship, regardless of their nationality.
  • Within two years of submitting their application, applicants must have either finished their postgraduate (master’s or doctorate) coursework or be enrolled in one right now.
  • Candidates must be under 32 years old when they submit their applications.
  • Applicants should have no more than five years of professional experience.
  • You must have advanced computing skills.
  • Results from the TOEFL or IELTS are not required if the applicant has already earned a degree from an English-medium institution.
