Introducing the EquityTech Fellowship 2024

Do you want to use technology to promote financial and social inclusion as an entrepreneur? The EquityTech Fellowship might be the game-changing chance you’ve been looking for! This fellowship, which aims to support entrepreneurs globally, including those in the US, is dedicated to reducing equity gaps in wealth, education, and accessibility through technical advancements. With backing from Capital One, Deloitte, AWS, and Arnold & Porter, this initiative seeks to strengthen businesses that operate in FinTech, Future of Work, Assistive Tech, and EdTech industries.

Program Structure:

  • There will be a maximum of eight projects selected for the fellowship.
  • Training in Halcyon’s methodology, with an emphasis on leadership, product-market fit, and investment readiness, will be provided to ventures who make the cut.
  • The program consists of an eight-week in-person residency in Washington, DC, followed by a virtual start meeting.

Eligibility:

  • Globally based for-profit businesses qualify for the EquityTech Fellowship.
  • A Minimum Viable Product that exhibits the ability to scale is a prerequisite for ventures.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years old, speak English fluently, and pledge to participate completely in all program events.
  • A venture should support at least one of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set forth by the UN.

Benefits:

  • A $10,000 USD equity-free stipend will be given to each initiative to help with travel costs.
  • The eight-week residence program takes place at the Georgetown, Washington, DC, locations of Halcyon.
  • Product-market fit, leadership development, and investment readiness will all be covered in training sessions.
  • Deloitte provides pro bono legal advice and assistance.
  • Amazon Cloud credits valued at $10,000 USD are given together with leadership mentoring.
  • Access to a community of more than 500 impact-driven entrepreneurs is provided to participants.
