The ARES Scholarship in Belgium for the 2026–2027 school year is now accepting applications. International professionals and students who want to advance their knowledge through specialized Bachelor’s, Master’s, or short training programs at Belgian universities can apply for this fully supported European fellowship. While training courses span six months, the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs last a year. Instead of providing full academic degrees, the ARES Scholarship, which is funded by the Government of Belgium through the Federation Wallonia-Brussels, aims to further knowledge in development-related subjects. To be eligible, applicants must already have a bachelor’s or master’s degree. This is a special chance to advance academically and professionally in Belgium.
Eligibility Criteria :
- must be a citizen of one of the 31 ARES partner-eligible nations, reside there, and be working there at the moment.
- ought to possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
- must have worked in a partner nation for at least two years in a related position.

- Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cuba, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Haiti, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Nepal, Niger, Peru, Philippines, Republic of Guinea (Conakry), Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, the Palestinian Territory, Tunisia, Uganda, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.
