The Commonwealth Masters Scholarship (Agency-Nominated), offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC), is a fully funded opportunity to pursue postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. Covering full tuition fees, travel expenses, and a monthly living stipend of £1,781, this scholarship enables talented students from eligible developing countries to advance their education without financial burden. Applications for the 2026 intake will open on September 2, 2025. Administered under the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP), the CSC programme reflects the UK’s long-standing commitment to the Commonwealth and international development. Its goal is to nurture exceptional individuals, equipping them to return home as future leaders, innovators, and contributors to sustainable growth and global collaboration.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • must be a British Protected Person, a refugee, or a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth nation.
  • must reside permanently in a Commonwealth nation that qualifies.
  • By September 2026, you must be prepared to start studying in the UK.
  • It must be held by September 2026:
  • At least upper second-class (2:1) honors in a first degree, OR
  • A suitable postgraduate degree (usually a Master’s degree) in addition to a lower second-class degree
  • must prove that they are in need of money and that they couldn’t afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.
  • All necessary supporting documentation must be sent in the appropriate format.

Benefits :

  • Airfare: Authorized travel from the scholar’s home country to the UK and back after the award is over (pre-confirmation travel or dependents’ tickets are not reimbursed).
  • Through an arrangement between CSC and the UK university, tuition fees are fully paid (scholars pay nothing).
  • The living stipend for scholars attending universities in the London metropolitan region is £1,452 per month, or £1,781 per month.
  • Where required, a warm clothing allowance is given.
  • Study Travel Grant: Funding for travel inside the UK or abroad for academic purposes.
  • In the event that the scholar is widowed, divorced, or a single parent with children residing at the same UK residence, the child allowance is £622 per month for the first kid and £154 per month for the second and third children (under 16).
