Japan Africa Dream Scholarship (JADS) Program 2025-26 (Fully Funded)

The 2025–2026 Scholarship (JADS) Program presents a remarkable chance to realize that dream. In accordance with the African Development Bank’s (AfDB) High 5 strategic priorities—Feed Africa, Integrate Africa, Industrialize Africa, Light Up and Power Africa, and Improve the Quality of Life for the People of Africa—this esteemed program, which was jointly introduced by the AfDB and the Government of Japan, aims to strengthen the development of Africa’s human resources. A common vision for sustainable growth is ensured by the close alignment of these aims with Japan’s development assistance initiatives.

Two-year master’s scholarships in disciplines like engineering, health, agriculture, energy, and environmental sustainability are offered by the JADS Program with full funding. Candidates must have a track record of advancing their country’s development, be citizens of AfDB regional member nations, and have relevant professional and academic qualifications. Scholars are expected to return home after completing their studies and use the information and skills they have gained to promote socioeconomic advancement on a national and continental level.

This all-inclusive scholarship package includes complete tuition for the term of study, a living stipend for 24 months, health insurance, international travel expenses, and research grants for academic work and thesis preparation. An additional six months of funding for post-graduation internships or further preparatory coursework may also be advantageous to pupils. In addition to providing financial aid, the program provides a route to academic success, career advancement, and personal improvement, enabling participants to become future leaders spearheading Africa’s change.
