Applications are being accepted for the Samsung SDI Scholarship (SSBT Program) 2026 by Seoul National University in South Korea in partnership with Samsung SDI. This fully funded opportunity offers an annual compensation of $15,147, covers tuition, and gives hands-on training. The SSBT program, which was created as a work-integrated talent development project, trains graduate students for positions in the energy and battery industries. SNU provides monthly financial assistance to scholars, and they also earn an additional industry-academic scholarship after being chosen and hired by Samsung SDI. Eligibility Criteria :
- Open to Ph.D. candidates who have finished coursework or to current or future Master’s program students at the 2026 SNU Graduate School.
- Students pursuing master’s degrees must have at least two semesters left when they apply.
- Additionally, doctoral students must have two semesters remaining and be able to graduate in two years.
Candidates must be enrolled in majors linked to batteries or secondary batteries at participating departments, such as:
- Engineering and Materials Science
- Engineering in Chemistry and Biology
- Engineering Mechanically
- Computer and Electrical Engineering
- (College of Natural Sciences) Chemistry
- If concentrating on battery-related research, students from different departments are welcome to apply.
- Candidates should show that they intend to work at Samsung SDI once they graduate.
