Applications are now being accepted for the Asia Foundation Development Fellows Program 2026. All costs, including airline, lodging, stipend, visa fees, local transportation, and health insurance, are covered by this fully funded scholarship. A 10-day program in Korea and a subsequent 10-day session in the US will be attended by the chosen fellows. The program seeks to enhance international professional networks, increase understanding of Asia-Pacific development, and bolster leadership abilities. Applicants under 40 with a variety of professional and academic backgrounds, including those holding bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees, are encouraged to apply to the program. Neither work experience nor an English proficiency test are required. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity for emerging leaders to grow and engage globally..
Eligibility Criteria :
- The age requirement is that candidates must be younger than 40 on January 1, 2026.
- Experience & Accomplishments: Applicants must exhibit a track record of success in one or more of the Asia Foundation’s priority areas:
- Leadership
- Development of the Economy
- The Empowerment of Women
- Resilience in the Environment
- Leadership and Education
- Global Collaboration
- Leadership Qualities: Must be a well-liked, devoted, and motivating leader in their field or community.
- English Proficiency: No formal test is necessary; one should feel at ease speaking the language.
- Availability: All program sessions and activities require full availability.
- To be eligible for a U.S. visa, one must meet certain requirements.
- Citizens or inhabitants of nations in Asia and the Pacific, such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Japan, Nepal, and others mentioned, are eligible.
South Korea and the United States are the host nations.
Program Length: 10 Days per Nation
Financial Coverage: Completely Funded, including all costs
