UM Bright Talents Scholarship in Netherlands | Fully Funded 2026

A completely supported opportunity for exceptional non-EU/EEA students pursuing a master’s degree in the Netherlands is the Maastricht University Bright Talents Scholarship. It covers all tuition costs and provides a monthly stipend for a complete academic year. Talented students who have been (conditionally) accepted into a Master’s program connected to the Brightlands campuses are supported by this scholarship. By bringing together students, researchers, and entrepreneurs in disciplines like health, agrifood, chemistry and materials, data science, and smart digital services, the program aims to produce future innovators. With this program, Maastricht University hopes to develop outstanding students with great academic potential and give them the tools and setting they need to support international innovation and research.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • must be a citizen of Switzerland or a non-EU/EEA nation and fulfill the conditions for a Dutch visa and residency permit.
  • It is not permitted to have dual nationality with Switzerland or an EU/EEA nation.
  • Students having exchange experience are eligible, although they must not have finished a degree-seeking program in the Netherlands.
  • must be under 35 as of September 1, 2026.
  • must consent to actively represent Brightlands and Maastricht University, exchanging experiences with students or stakeholders at least once.
  • must submit an application for admission to Maastricht University’s qualified Master’s program for the 2026–2027 academic year.
  • must fulfill the particular requirements for admission to the program of choice.
  • Only one application may be filed, and all supporting documentation must be in order before submission.

Netherlands is the host nation.

Language Requirement: IELTS is not necessary.
