Eastern Illinois University Scholarships in USA 2026 | Fully Funded

For both domestic and foreign students seeking a master’s degree in the United States, the Eastern Illinois University (EIU) Scholarship 2026 provides a fully financed graduate assistantship. Throughout the study period, the scholarship offers a $1,600 monthly income in addition to a tuition remission. Up to four MS Graduate Assistantship candidates are needed by EIU’s Center for Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences, ideally beginning in the spring or summer of 2026, though later dates are acceptable. The chosen candidates will contribute to important fisheries and aquatic science research by conducting research and writing an MS thesis in subjects including invasive carp ecology and reproductive dynamics, Channel Catfish demography, or Wabash River fish community evaluation.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Motivation: A highly motivated student who is prepared to help with data analysis, lab work, field sampling, and report/manuscript preparation.
  • Teamwork: Exhibit a good capacity for both autonomous and cooperative work in a research team.
  • Experience: Previous fisheries research experience, including familiarity with laboratory and field methods, is preferred.
  • Education: Possess a bachelor’s degree and at least a 3.0 undergraduate GPA.
  • Physical Requirement: Must be able to work outside in inclement weather and lift up to forty pounds.
