CERN Summer Student Program 2026 in Switzerland (Fully Funded)

Applications are now being accepted for the CERN Summer Student Program in Switzerland, one of the largest summer programs of 2026! This fully funded opportunity welcomes students of all nationalities to participate in a world-class research experience in Geneva. Approximately 300 students from all over the world enroll in this program each year. IELTS is not necessary, and there is no application fee. The program runs for 8 to 13 weeks and is open to Bachelor’s and Master’s students, including those graduating by May 2026. Participants will acquire significant hands-on experience, work with renowned researchers, and explore new science – with all expenses provided by CERN. Additional information is given below.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • All nations are welcome to apply; there are no restrictions on citizenship.
  • must be presently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or physics
  • must have finished at least six semesters of college coursework.
  • English proficiency is a must (knowledge of French is not necessary, but it is advantageous).

Switzerland is the host nation.
