The LawAI Summer Fellowship 2026 in the United States is now accepting applications. Candidates from all nations are welcome to apply for this fully funded program, which provides a unique chance to collaborate on cutting-edge projects at the nexus of artificial intelligence and law. For law students, legal professionals, and academics interested in contributing to research on AI law, legislation, and public policy, the Institute for Law & AI (LawAI) is offering a funded summer fellowship.
The LawAI Fellowship’s main objective is to provide participants with artificial intelligence expertise while encouraging the creation of AI systems that are morally sound, safe, and advantageous to society. During the fellowship, participants will work with seasoned mentors and engage with researchers, politicians, and top subject matter experts.
This 10-week, remote-first fellowship will take place from June 15 to August 21, 2026, with a dedicated in-person engagement week from June 22 to June 26 that will take place in Berkeley, California, or Washington, D.C. You can find more information below.

Eligibility Criteria:
