The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group has announced its fully funded 2026 scholarships at Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU) in China. Eligibility Criteria :
Qualifications for Master’s Programs:
- must have experience in the blue economy or fishing and be a citizen of an AfDB Regional Member Country (RMC).
- possess a bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline and are interested in working in the blue economy or fishing.
- Show that you are proficient in English (minimum IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80).
- be younger than 35 while submitting an application.
- Demonstrate excellent academic achievement (GPA ≥3.0).
Ph.D. Program Qualifications:
- A national of the AfDB RMC with expertise in the blue economy or fishing is required.
- possess a master’s degree in development studies, economics, environmental policy, aquaculture, marine science, or a similar discipline.
- English proficiency (TOEFL 80, IELTS 6.0).
- Own at least one article from your research experience.
- strong research, policy-making, and analytical abilities.
- outstanding teamwork and communication skills, especially exposure to multicultural settings.
