The 2026 DAAD Hilde Domin Scholarship Program is now accepting applications. For chosen students, this fully financed fellowship offers a €1,300 monthly stipend, travel assistance, health insurance, and a number of other privileges. The main features of the scholarship, such as eligibility, benefits, and the whole application process for prospective applicants, are described in this post. The Hilde Domin Program, which is run by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, provides assistance to international students and doctoral researchers who are denied civil or educational rights in their home countries. The scholarship is to provide impacted individuals with the opportunity to start or continue their academic studies or research at an accredited German university.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Candidates must be master’s or doctorate candidates from throughout the world who are in danger of losing access to education or other rights in their native country because of their political or civic involvement, gender, sexual orientation, or ethnicity.
- Threats to one’s safety or well-being, such as violence, arrest, or limitations on civil and educational rights, must be proven or supported by reliable evidence.
- must possess legitimate academic credentials, as confirmed by the Anabin database, that permit admission to a higher education school.
- must not be a resident of Germany or any other member state of the European Union at the time of nomination.
