KFAS-Salzburg Global Leadership in Austria 2024 | Funded |

A fully sponsored leadership program in Austria, the KFAS-Salzburg Global Leadership Initiative 2024 welcomes participants from a variety of nations. The subject for this year is “Connecting Technologies,” which highlights the need of inclusive policies and creative leadership to close the gap between the potential of technology and fair access to its advantages for all. In addition to taking on modern difficulties, participants will gain valuable experiences.

Depending on the particular themes of the program, 30 to 35 experts and practitioners from different fields are eligible to enrol each year. Within each sub-theme, discussions will centre on important concerns and examine potential future trends, possibilities, and impacts. Policy specialists who are interested in studying how technology intersects with societal growth, governance, equality, security, and environmental sustainability are especially welcome to apply.

The initiative’s sub-themes include: economic security in the face of technological competition; AI-induced technology growth and inequality; governance problems posed by Big Tech; talent and creativity within technology ecosystems; and technology’s role in sustainable development. The initiative aims to tackle the issue of global inequality caused by artificial intelligence. It is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN and promotes the responsible use of technology to attain environmental sustainability.

With five days of on-site instruction in Salzburg, Austria, in addition to online courses, the KFAS-Salzburg Global Leadership program offers a hybrid structure. The host institute provides lodging, meals, and transportation, offering a rare chance for computer enthusiasts to work together on tech-enabled solutions to local problems.
