The Mastercard Foundation provides fully funded undergraduate scholarships in collaboration with African Leadership University (ALU). Tuition, housing, living expenses, travel, and study supplies, including a laptop, are all covered by the ALU Mastercard Scholarship.
This scholarship is intended to help gifted young Africans who are struggling financially so they can attend a top-notch ALU. ALU is renowned for its cutting-edge approach to education, which empowers students to take control of their education by fusing academic study with practical experience.
Since the relationship began, 768 Mastercard Foundation Scholars have registered at ALU, demonstrating the university’s strong commitment to inclusiveness. Of these, 68% are women, 19% are refugees or displaced youth, and roughly 1% are students with disabilities.
Eligibility Criteria :

- Show that you truly need the money.
- Despite financial difficulties, have a high capacity for leadership.
- Be dedicated to the continent of Africa’s growth
- Apply to African Leadership University’s (ALU) undergraduate or graduate programs..
