International candidates are invited to apply for the fully supported three-month IAPS AI Policy Fellowship 2026 in the USA, which aims to improve practical policy skills in advanced AI. The fellowship can be performed in Washington, DC, or remotely between September 1 and November 21, 2025. A two-week in-person residency in Washington, DC, from September 1–12, 2025, is mandatory for selected fellows. The program unites experts from several fields to work together on AI policy initiatives that address topics including export regulations, national security, AI procurement, CBRN capabilities, and AI geopolitics. Fellows work with AI policy professionals to address global AI concerns while gaining practical experience creating effective policies.
Eligibility Criteria :
- This fully financed fellowship in the USA is open to fellows from all nations.
- It is not necessary to have any prior technical AI experience.
- Participants from all over the world are welcome to apply for the remote fellowship.
- To complete three months of in-person work in Washington, DC, applicants must possess a valid work authorization.
- Candidates are chosen based on their knowledge and professional experience.
