The UK’s 2026 Scout Adventures Volunteer Program is currently accepting applications. Both UK citizens and foreign volunteers from Europe, the USA, and other countries are eligible for this paid volunteer opportunity. While UK volunteers receive £35 per week plus direct cost covering, international volunteers receive £45 per week plus reimbursement for direct expenditures. In addition, food, lodging, sponsorship for a visa, and assistance with any personal costs are all provided by the program. There is no cost to apply. Participants will serve as outdoor activity teachers at one of the Scout Adventures locations in the UK for six to eight months. The program’s main goal is to prepare participants to become qualified teachers who encourage and uphold the importance of outdoor adventure experiences.

- Required age: 18 years of age or older
- Attitude: Exuberant and full of “can-do” optimism
- Willingness to work outside in any weather
- Experience: Neither formal education nor prior work experience are necessary.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required.
