Simon Fraser University Scholarships in Canada | Fully Funded 2026

International students have a great chance to study Master’s and PhD degrees in Canada through the Simon Fraser University Scholarship. A fully financed fellowship, which includes a stipend of up to $30,000 annually to support graduate studies, is awarded to selected individuals.

The Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Laboratory at Simon Fraser University welcomes submissions from talented and driven students interested in cutting-edge research each year. Professor Bernhard Rabus, who oversees the lab, specializes in SAR techniques and applications, especially in maritime research and cutting-edge land applications utilizing interferometric and polarimetric time-series analysis.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Having a background in remote sensing and a strong interest in research
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, geophysics, physics, or a similar field
  • Programming expertise, especially in Python and C++
  • Outstanding scientific writing abilities and a strong desire to disseminate research
  • Excellent command of the English language (TOEFL iBT 93+, PBT 580/TWE 5, or IELTS Academic 7.0 overall with at least 6.5 in each band)

Benefits include a $30,000 yearly salary and a fully funded scholarship.

Benefits :

Four-year funded research assistantship:

  • MSc: $20,000–$25,000 CAD annually
  • PhD: $24,000 to $30,000 CAD annually (increases after publications)

Extra Funding:

  • CAD $13,000 or more annually through a Teaching Assistantship (TA) or Graduate Fellowship (GF), sufficient to pay for tuition
