University of Science and Technology of China USTC Fellowship 2027 , China (Fully Funded)

High-achieving overseas students who want to pursue graduate studies in China can apply for the esteemed USTC Fellowship for Master’s Programs offered by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). The fellowship offers full or partial funding, which mostly covers tuition costs. In certain situations, it also includes monthly living allowances, assistance with housing, and full medical coverage.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nationality and Health: Candidates must be in good physical and mental health and not be Chinese nationals.
  • Academic Requirement: A bachelor’s degree, which is comparable to a bachelor’s degree in China, is necessary.
  • Graduating Students: Applicants graduating in 2027 must submit a pre-graduation certificate and obtain their degree by July 2027.
  • Age Requirement: As of September 1, 2027, candidates must be under 35.
  • Proficiency in Language:
  • Programs taught in Chinese: HSK Level 4 or above
  • Programs taught in English: A valid score on the TOEFL, IELTS, or a comparable test
  • Native speakers and individuals with prior instruction in the language of instruction may be eligible for exemptions.
  • Admission standards: Candidates must meet all USTC standards for admission as international students.
  • Scholarship Commitment: During the fellowship time, recipients are not permitted to hold any other assignments or scholarships.

Important Note: Each applicant may receive only one scholarship, either Level A or Level B.

  • Valid Passport Copy: A copy of the passport with at least one year of validity remaining.
  • Study or Research Proposal: A detailed proposal of no fewer than 1,000 words outlining academic or research plans.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV): An up-to-date CV highlighting academic background and relevant experience.
  • Recommendation Letters: Two letters of recommendation from university professors, including their contact information.
  • Medical Examination Form: A completed Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
  • Language Proficiency Proof: Relevant language certificates (HSK, IELTS, or TOEFL), if required by the program.
  • Academic Credentials: Notarized copies of degree certificates and official academic transcripts.
  • Additional Supporting Documents: Extra documents may be required based on the applicant’s current status as a student, graduate, or employed professional.
  • Important Note: Any documents not issued in English or Chinese must be accompanied by official notarized translations.
