The UCL Gatsby Bridging Summer School 2026 in the UK is now accepting applications. This London-based, fully financed summer program is available to both UK nationals and international students. There is no application cost for the seven-week summer program, which runs from June 22, 2026, to August 7, 2026.
Undergraduate, graduate, master’s, and doctoral students are all welcome to enroll in the program, especially those from STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields. The UCL Gatsby Bridging Summer Program’s primary objective is to improve participants’ mathematical foundations in order to get them ready for more advanced coursework and research.
Participants in the program will hear in-depth lectures and engage in practical problem-solving exercises that cover important topics like probability, calculus, linear algebra, and ordinary differential equations. Additional information is given below.

Eligibility Criteria:
- All countries are welcome to apply to the summer school; there are no limits based on nationality.
- Applicants should exhibit a strong desire to pursue postgraduate studies in machine learning or theoretical neuroscience.
- Candidates must be enrolled in or have just finished an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Since the summer school is intended to fill this gap, the applicant’s academic background should not include the degree of mathematical training provided in the program syllabus.
- At the time of application, undergraduate candidates must be in their penultimate or final year of study.
- We specifically encourage students from minority or low-income backgrounds to apply.
