The United Nations’ top program for identifying people who are making exceptional contributions to preserving and repairing the world, UNEP Young Champions of the Earth 2026, is currently accepting applications.
In addition to US$100,000, the winners will enjoy a fully-funded travel to New York, USA, for the award presentation. UNEP looks for new, creative, and unique solutions to pressing environmental issues like waste, pollution, climate change, and biodiversity loss. Candidates are urged to use unconventional and creative thinking.
Anyone from any field can participate in the program, and it costs nothing to do so. We strongly encourage creative ideas that push the envelope and offer fresh approaches. Below are further details.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 30 by the end of 2026.
- Experience Requirement: Applicants must have spent a minimum of six months working on their project.
- Individual Application: Even if you are the leader of a corporation, group, NGO, or startup, you must apply as an individual and not as one of these entities.
USA is the host nation.
