In order to acknowledge internationally renowned researchers, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is giving the International Excellence Award of KIT in conjunction with the SCHROFF Foundation Fellowship 2026. The goal of this esteemed fellowship in Germany is to assist exceptional scientists whose work advances scientific understanding and addresses global issues.
Through this initiative, chosen researchers are invited to work on a joint research project with a host institute for up to six months at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The fellowship promotes interdisciplinary cooperation and funds initiatives that address important scientific and societal issues.

Eligibility Criteria:
- must be a scientist or researcher with international recognition.
- should have significant scientific accomplishments that affect the entire world.
- Major societal issues or future-focused subjects should be the focus of research.
- must collaborate with a Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) host institution.
- A scientist linked with KIT is required to submit the submission.
