Karlsruhe Institute of Technology SCHROFF Foundation Fellowships 2026, Germany (Fully Funded)

In order to acknowledge internationally renowned researchers, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is giving the International Excellence Award of KIT in conjunction with the SCHROFF Foundation Fellowship 2026. The goal of this esteemed fellowship in Germany is to assist exceptional scientists whose work advances scientific understanding and addresses global issues.

Through this initiative, chosen researchers are invited to work on a joint research project with a host institute for up to six months at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The fellowship promotes interdisciplinary cooperation and funds initiatives that address important scientific and societal issues.

This fellowship offers top researchers a great chance to broaden their global research networks, exchange knowledge, and support cutting-edge, high-impact research in Germany while enhancing cooperation with KIT’s academic community.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • must be a scientist or researcher with international recognition.
  • should have significant scientific accomplishments that affect the entire world.
  • Major societal issues or future-focused subjects should be the focus of research.
  • must collaborate with a Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) host institution.
  • A scientist linked with KIT is required to submit the submission.

  • Personal statement from the nominator, including a scientific appraisal and laudation (maximum 3 pages).
  • Invitation letter from the host institute along with a description of the proposed research project (maximum 3 pages).
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the nominated researcher.
  • List of key publications, limited to a maximum of 10.
  • One or two recommendation letters from internationally recognized experts in the field.
