Young authors from all throughout the Commonwealth of Nations are invited to apply for the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2026. young are encouraged to participate in the competition by sharing their thoughts on topics that align with Commonwealth ideals, such as equality, young leadership, inclusivity, and environmental preservation.
A fully financed trip to London, United Kingdom, where they will participate in a week of cultural and educational events, will be awarded to outstanding winners and runners-up. The Royal Commonwealth Society hosts a distinguished awards event at Buckingham Palace to wrap up the program.
The competition seeks to encourage youth to voice their opinions, hone their writing abilities, and emerge as future leaders in the Commonwealth.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Candidates must be nationals of a Commonwealth of Nations nation.
- At the time of application, participants must be younger than eighteen.
- Select an official essay topic and give it a unique, imaginative interpretation.
- Choose a format or writing style that best conveys your ideas.
- Judges closely examine the essay for uniqueness, so make sure it employs your own words and voice.
- It is desired that English language styles be used creatively and in a variety of ways throughout Commonwealth cultures.
- Before submitting, carefully check your language, punctuation, and proofreading.
- To increase the overall effect of your entry, keep your presentation straightforward and your material high-quality.
