TRAJECTS Master’s Scholarships 2026, South Africa & Colombia (Fully Funded)

For international students who want to further their academic careers in climate policy, renewable energy governance, and socio-ecological transitions, the TRAJECTS Master’s Scholarships provide a special, fully supported opportunity. The Transnational Centre for Just Transitions in Energy, Climate, and Sustainability is offering the scholarships with the goal of promoting research that addresses important issues like sustainable development and the global shift away from fossil fuels while bridging perspectives from the Global South and the Global North.

Students who desire their study to significantly advance global sustainability and fair transition policies are especially well-suited for these awards. Scholars receive financial and mobility support, join a worldwide network of experts, and have the chance to contribute to solutions pertaining to energy transitions and socio-ecological resilience in significant global South locations.

The University of Cape Town in South Africa, the University of Magdalena in Santa Marta, Colombia, and the Institute of Environmental Studies at the National University of Colombia in Bogotá are the three partner universities that will receive eight fully funded scholarships from the TRAJECTS program for the 2026–2028 cycle. The scholarships offer chances for academic mobility, professional training, and cooperative international research and are intended for students whose academic interests closely match the network’s main research subjects.
