International students may apply for the 2026 Yunnan Normal University Language Teachers Scholarship through the Center for Language Education and Cooperation’s International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship program. The goal of this fully sponsored opportunity is to prepare future Chinese language instructors around the globe.
Yunnan Normal University, which is located in Kunming, provides professional training in Mandarin teaching and cross-cultural communication in addition to complete financial support. Graduates can work in Confucius Institutes, schools, and universities around the world as Chinese language instructors, interpreters, translators, coordinators of cultural exchanges, or experts in international education.
Eligibility Criteria :
- must be a healthy non-Chinese national.
Age restrictions:
- 16–35 years old for applicants in general
- For in-service instructors, up to 45 years
- Show a keen interest in learning Chinese.
Possess current certifications of proficiency in Chinese:
- HSK (written)
- Oral HSKK
- possess a solid academic foundation
Fulfill the prerequisites for the degree:
- Bachelor’s degree for candidates seeking a master’s degree
- Master’s degree for candidates seeking a PhD
