The EU4Ocean Summer School 2026 on Ocean Literacy and Collaboration is now accepting applications. The goal of this five-day international program, which will take place in Milazzo, Italy, from September 14–18, is to foster a sustainable blue economy in coastal towns and investigate efficient cooperation on ocean-related projects.
In order to enhance skills in ocean literacy, teamwork, and project development, the summer school will feature interactive workshops, group activities, expert-led sessions, and hands-on discussions. Additionally, participants will get the chance to network with professionals, organizations, and like-minded individuals in the marine and environmental industries.
Applicants from all over the world are welcome to apply. IELTS is not necessary, and there is no application fee. It’s a great chance for anyone interested in ocean sustainability and international cooperation because chosen participants will get subsidized advantages, such as lodging, meals, and travel assistance.

- Twenty-five young people from EU and non-EU European nations, including early-career professionals and master’s and PhD students, will attend the EU4Ocean Summer School.

- Discover how to enhance and broaden initiatives under the UN Ocean Decade framework.
- Develop the ability to work well with others when creating and carrying out tasks relating to the water.
- Investigate various methods of cooperation and improve communication in interdisciplinary and intercultural contexts.
- Recognize how to help and encourage the development of a sustainable blue economy.
- Learn useful information about regional ocean-related issues and situations.
- Discover how to interact and work together with local institutions and stakeholders in an efficient manner.
