For overseas students, the Southern Illinois University Scholarship 2026 is a fully financed graduate program that offers a full tuition waiver and a minimum yearly stipend of $22,000. Students can study and carry out research in the United States with this Master’s-level graduate assistantship.
Starting in the summer or fall of 2026, there are two M.S. Graduate Research Assistantships available. Starting in May 2026, the first project will examine how forest management affects nightjars (eastern whip-poor-will and chuck-will’s-widow) in southern Illinois. Beginning in August 2026, the second research looks at stand dynamics in bottomland forest plantations following the loss of ash trees and an increase in invasive species.
