A fully financed Master’s scholarship is available to both domestic and foreign students at Nicholls State University in the United States. The grant comprises a $18,000 yearly stipend in addition to complete tuition coverage.
The Marine and Environmental Biology Program offers a Graduate Teaching Assistantship starting in January 2026. Dr. Timothy Clay will oversee the chosen student as they join the Coastal Ecology Lab.
The Diamondback Terrapin is the subject of the research, which includes studies on the skeletochronology and morphometrics of hatchlings and adults. As part of the Terrapin conservation program, the student will also take part in fieldwork activities like egg incubation, hatchling rearing, road mortality monitoring, and nesting surveys.
Eligibility Criteria :
- own a bachelor’s degree in biology or a similar discipline and have a passion for environmental education, outreach, ecology, conservation, and herpetology.
- possess knowledge of R programming, a passion for statistics, and the capacity to handle huge datasets
