CATS Fellowship 2026 in Berlin, Germany (Fully Funded)

The CATS Fellowship 2026 is currently accepting applications. International scholars and professionals are eligible for this prestigious, fully supported study opportunity. The fellowship, which is supported by the Center for Applied Turkey Studies and housed at the German Institute for International and Security politics, allows academics to work with leading authorities on international politics and policy while conducting independent research in Berlin. The fellowship will begin in September 2026 and run for six to twelve months. All nationals are welcome to apply, and there is no application fee. Additional information is given below.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • All nationalities are welcome to apply.
  • Post-doctoral scholars, think tank members, and practitioners working on Turkey-related projects are eligible for the fellowship.
  • Candidates may be professionals, scholars, or researchers.
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • Science of politics
  • Relations between countries
  • Economics or similar fields
  • should submit a research proposal that focuses on international politics and Turkey.
  • Show that you have a strong academic or professional background.

Germany is the host nation.
