McNeese State University USA Scholarships 2026 | Fully Funded

The McNeese State University Scholarship for 2026 is now accepting applications. The institution is offering a fully financed Master’s research assistantship in ecology that comes with a $20,000 annual living stipend and full tuition waiver. At McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, one M.S. Graduate Research Assistantship will start in August 2026 with the goal of examining how amphibian communities react to intense habitat management. Both domestic and foreign students with a BSc in biology, wildlife science, natural resource conservation, or a closely connected topic are eligible for the role. The chosen student will use trapping, call surveys, and monitoring methods, along with some night and light-rain fieldwork, to perform field research on pond-breeding amphibians in Southwest Louisiana.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • A B.S. in biology, wildlife science, natural resource conservation, or a closely related discipline is required.
  • A strong work ethic and self-motivation are essential, as is the ability to manage harsh field circumstances like high temperatures, humidity, and insects.
  • must be able to cooperate with a varied group of experts in natural resources.
  • It is crucial to have an interest in conservation biology, herpetology, and quantitative research techniques.
  • must exhibit sensitivity and awareness of land management techniques and environmental challenges.
  • Although not required, prior knowledge recognizing frogs and toads by sight and vocalizations is preferred.

The United States is the host nation.

Scholarships for Postgraduate (Master’s) Studies

All countries are eligible.

Benefits include a $20,000 annual stipend and a fully funded scholarship.

IELTS is not necessary for English proficiency.
