Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB) Scholarship 2026 – Fully Funded

The fifth edition of the 2026 GCUB Scholarship, known as the GCUB International Mobility Program, has been introduced by the International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB) with assistance from the Instituto Guimarães Rosa, which is part of Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In addition to promoting university internationalization and fortifying academic relationships between Brazilian and international institutions, this Brazilian government effort seeks to assist high-achieving students from all five continents.

55 Brazilian universities will grant more than 880 master’s and doctorate scholarships in this cycle, with programs starting in 2026.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • The languages in which applications must be sent are English, Portuguese, French, or Spanish.
  • Candidates must be citizens of a nation with diplomatic ties to Brazil.
  • Citizens of Brazil are not permitted to apply.
  • Candidates must be able to pay for extra costs including flights, visa fees, and health insurance that are not covered by the scholarship.
  • Candidates must fulfill the language requirements of the graduate degree or programs they have selected.
  • The application must be filed with the necessary academic and educational records.
  • Up to five Master’s or PhD programs at various member universities are open to each applicant.

Candidates from all countries are welcome to apply.

Benefits of the scholarship include a full scholarship, monthly stipends, travel and visa assistance, and health insurance. There is no IELTS requirement for the English test.

  • Throughout the study program, a monthly stipend is given to cover living expenses.
  • Up to USD 1,500 may be awarded to scholarship applicants from qualified OSC member nations to cover flight, visa processing, overseas health insurance, and associated personal costs.
