COP31 Climate Change Fellowship 2026, Türkiye (Fully Funded)

The COP31 Climate Change Media Partnership (CCMP) Reporting Fellowship 2026 in Turkey is now accepting applications. The United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31) will take place in Antalya from November 9–20, 2026.

Journalists and creator-journalists have a rare chance to cover one of the biggest climate catastrophes in history firsthand thanks to this fully sponsored scholarship. Participants will have direct access to policy discussions, climate negotiations, and international leaders tackling climate change.

More than 550 journalists from all around the world have benefited from the CCMP Fellowship since it was founded in 2007, strengthening excellent climate reporting and raising public understanding of environmental challenges.

All significant fellowship-related costs are reimbursed, and there is no application fee. While covering COP31 on the ground, the program offers media workers a great opportunity to improve their reporting abilities, create international networks, and contribute to global discussions on climate action.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Become a creator-journalist or a professional journalist
  • Be a national of a low- or middle-income nation
  • possess prior experience covering environmental concerns, climate change, or similar subjects.
  • Show off your excellent communication skills in English.
  • Be able to take part in COP31 for the duration of the fellowship.
  • Provide a convincing and well-defined plan for COP31 reporting.
  • Make a commitment to creating and disseminating coverage about fellowships.
  • have backing from a publishing platform or media organization
  • If they can show evidence of a publication promise from a reputable media outlet, freelance journalists are qualified to apply.
