Applications are now being accepted for the Alexander Rave Scholarship 2027, which provides museum experts, curators, archivists, conservators, restorers, and cultural heritage professionals with a fully financed professional exchange opportunity in Germany. The program, which is run by the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations (ifa), gives chosen candidates the opportunity to work for three to six months with well-known German museums and cultural organizations while getting substantial financial support.
The Alexander Rave Scholarship places a strong emphasis on professional interchange, institutional collaboration, and practical experience in museum operations and cultural heritage conservation, in contrast to traditional academic scholarship programs. Through direct engagement with top industry professionals, the program helps participants generate creative initiatives, form global alliances, and advance their knowledge.
Scholars receive financial support as well as opportunities to broaden their global networks, gain invaluable exposure to Germany’s museum and cultural sector, and establish enduring professional connections that will benefit their institutions and careers long after the fellowship is over.
The Alexander Rave Scholarship is acknowledged as a very competitive and prestigious opportunity for cultural heritage and museum workers worldwide, with about ten scholarships offered each year.
