For exceptional candidates wishing to pursue an M.S. degree in the United States, the University of Louisiana Scholarship 2026 offers fully supported graduate assistantship options. Selected applicants may become Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs) in the Biology Program, working under Dr. Anastasia Couvillon to undertake research on the ecology and conservation of the Gray Fox in Louisiana. Another alternative is to work with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation as a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA), concentrating on habitat loss and landscape change. Eligibility Criteria :

  • possess a bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, conservation biology, wildlife ecology, natural resource management, or a similar field.
  • Show an interest in conservation biology, quantitative ecology, mammalogy, or wildlife ecology.
  • While not required, prior experience in field research, wildlife surveys, GIS, R, or statistical analysis is advantageous.
  • Have excellent cooperation, communication, and organizing abilities.
  • possess the ability to operate autonomously in field settings, including long stretches of outdoor study.
  • Preferred Requirements for Research Assistant Positions
  • familiarity with GIS programs like ArcGIS Pro or QGIS.
  • knowledge of remote sensing applications and geographical data analysis.
  • proficiency with data processing and analysis software, such as R or Python.
  • expertise in data administration, research reporting, and scientific writing.
  • the capacity to manage big datasets and research initiatives autonomously and successfully.
