Eligibility Criteria:
- be a foreign applicant seeking admission to ETSU’s undergraduate or graduate programs.
- fulfil the university’s prerequisites for admission.
- fulfil the university’s standards for English language proficiency.
- be accepted as a degree-seeking student at ETSU.
- own or intend to possess a J-1 or F-1 student visa.
- Continue to have a 3.0 or above GPA:
- Candidates for Freshman Year: 3.0 GPA in High School.
- Transfer applicants must have a 3.0 GPA from their prior college work.
- 3.0 GPA in undergraduate courses is required for graduate applicants.

- Blue Scholarship: $5,000/year – Requires GPA >3.0
- Gold Scholarship: $7,000/year – Requires GPA >3.5
- Elite Scholarship: $9,000/year – Requires GPA >3.75
Graduate Merit Scholarships
- Masters Merit Scholarship: $5,000/year – Requires GPA >3.0
- Doctoral Merit Scholarship: $9,000/year – Requires GPA >3.0
