Eligibility Criteria:
- must be enrolled in classes at Cardiff Metropolitan University or soon to begin one.
- must participate in a sanctioned BUCS sport and support the BUCS goals of the university.
- must be advancing toward the top level of their sport or compete at the international level.
- must have the coach from the University or their NGB coach’s recommendation.
- needed to participate in BUCS events on behalf of Cardiff Met.
- It is anticipated that they will represent Cardiff Met in public events and take part in marketing and promotion initiatives for the School of Sports and Health Science.
- In order to process the campus allowance or catering, you must be a full-time student at Cardiff Met and have a Student ID Card. Students who retake an entire year will not get an award unless complete mitigating circumstances are presented.
- Annual reapplication is required; the Head of Performance Sport will send the form.
- Not available to franchise college students; inquire about bursaries and scholarships directly from the college.
- cannot be awarded the Postgraduate Scholarship and the Elite Sport Scholar award simultaneously.
- The prize package will be designed to help students reach their full potential in the sport of their choice.
- A panel comprising the Head of Performance Sport, the Sports Manager of the Students Union, and an academic staff member bestows the scholarship.
