International students can apply for fully supported research scholarships through the Leo Baeck Fellowship program for 2025–2026. A monthly stipend of EUR 1,550 is given to recipients, in addition to a EUR 100 research cost allowance.
For doctorate students conducting dissertation research in the area of Central European Jewish history and culture, there is an international fellowship program. Projects from any historical period, academic field (including philosophy, literature, history, and musicology), or geographic location (Europe, America, or Israel) are acceptable as long as they have some connection to German-speaking Judaism.
Eligibility Criteria:
- a university degree or degrees with outstanding academic standing
- The most recent degree earned no earlier than March 2020 Acceptance into a doctoral program at an accredited university or formal qualification for doctoral study
- The history and culture of Central European Jews were the subject of the research study.
