Former Pakistani Skipper surpasses Chris Gayle from West Indies and Virat Kohli from India for the fastest to 10,000 runs in T20s.

The six that Babar hit off of Tabraiz Shamsi of South Africa brought his half-century to a successful conclusion. Adding yet another feather to his already impressive collection, Babar surpassed batting legends Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, and David Warner on a list that is considered to be among the best. In the shortest format, the former captain of Pakistan holds the record for the fastest time to reach 10,000 runs. The achievement was accomplished by Babar after 271 innings. In 299 innings, the former captain of India, Kohli, crossed the 10,000-run mark. During the course of 285 innings, the West Indies legend Gayle was able to achieve the milestone, while the veteran Australian opener David Warner required 303 innings to score 10,000 Twenty20 runs.
Babar is the thirteenth batter in the history of the shortest format to accumulate 10,000 runs. In addition to that, the Pakistani hitter is the first player in the Pakistan Super League to reach 3,000 runs. In addition to that, he is the second batter after Malik.
