Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must be citizens of one of the specified qualifying nations.
  • Evidence of at least two years of relevant professional experience is required.
  • To be eligible for the Belgium Scholarship, one must be proficient in the course language, comprehension of reading comprehension included.
  • It is highly recommended that women apply to Belgium for the ARES Scholarship.
  • Candidates may submit one application per course.
  • Must hold a diploma equal to an undergraduate degree for other programs, or a graduate-level degree for advanced master’s and continuing education courses.

Benefits:

  • The round-trip flight in economy class will be paid for.
  • A living allowance will be given to each scholarship recipient; the amount may vary according to the training program.
  • International students enrolled in master’s programs will be the only ones eligible for an additional payment if the visa application fee is above €200.
  • The insurance costs will be paid for by ARES directly.
  • Reimbursement for travel expenses will be granted upon receipt submission.
  • With Belgium’s fully financed ARES scholarship, overseas students can attend university in Europe for free.

  • Certified copies of the original diplomas
  • 2 letters of recommendation (academic and/or professional)
  • Certified copies of the original transcripts for all years
  • Certificate of nationality or copy of passport
  • Proof of occupation for the last 5 years
  • Pre-project (for certain courses – see the admission conditions specific to the courses).
