The richest man in the United States, Elon Musk supported former President Donald Trump during an election campaign in Butler, Pennsylvania. During the speech, Musk presented the next election as an urgent event for the fate of the United States, calling Trump the only candidate who will save ‘democracy.’
Donning a “Make America Great Again” cap, Musk said the 2024 election was crucial, insisting that it could be the last vote in the US. Musk said, “This will be the last election if Trump doesn’t win,” and pointed out that he is “not just MAGA, I am Dark MAGA.”
This was the first time Musk came out to attend a Trump campaign meeting which shows that they are now becoming good allies as the presidential campaigns progress. Musk, who has registered a super PAC for Trump has been funding efforts to get people to vote for Trump as a president. Musk, on the other hand, has previously said he wants to head a government efficiency commission if Trump comes back to power.
Speaking to a huge audience, Musk noted Trump’s support for free speech and individual rights while accusing the Democrats of seeking to remove the basic liberties. “They want to cancel your voice, regulate your right to speak, and your right to bear arms,” Musk said, before also slamming attempts in California to outlaw the use of voter ID.
Carrying out the rally at a site where Trump was shot at in July, a gunman targeting his ear and killing a supporter Corey Comperatore. Several others were injured in the assault which made this moment a strong one for Trump campaign to advance his message to the public as he continues to fight for his followers.
The rally demonstrated a solidifying of a bond between Trump and Musk both using their platforms to promote themselves as the protectors and guardians of America and its liberties come the 2024 elections.
