Indian Troops Martyr Two Kashmiri Youths in Latest Act of State Terrorism

Published:

In a disturbing escalation of violence, Indian troops martyred two Kashmiri youth today in the Baramulla district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The killings occurred during a fake encounter staged by Indian forces amid a cordon and search operation in Sopore, marking another tragic chapter in the ongoing human rights crisis in the region.

This latest atrocity is part of a broader pattern of state-sponsored repression in IIOJK. In the wake of the killings, Indian forces have intensified their operations in multiple districts, including Srinagar, Bandipora, Kupwara, Islamabad, Kishtwar, and Doda, further worsening the already dire situation for Kashmiri civilians. These military actions, which frequently involve extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests, and property confiscations, have been condemned by human rights organizations and local political leaders.

Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, spokesperson for the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), strongly condemned the ongoing repression and called for immediate global intervention to hold India accountable for its blatant disregard for human rights and international law. Minhas highlighted that the Indian government’s actions are part of a deliberate strategy to silence the voices of Kashmiris and suppress their legitimate political aspirations.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a senior APHC leader, also addressed the congregation at Srinagar’s historic Jamia Masjid, stressing that the suffering of the Kashmiri people is intrinsically linked to the unresolved Kashmir dispute. He called on both India and Pakistan to engage in meaningful dialogue to find a just and lasting resolution to the conflict, urging the international community to take a more active role in addressing the human rights violations in the region.

The call for justice continues as Kashmiris endure unprecedented hardship under the weight of military occupation.
