Through foreign experience, the British Academy foreign Fellowship helps outstanding early-career researchers take the initial steps toward establishing an independent research career.
The program’s main features are as follows: Duration: A two-year effort aimed at attracting and keeping up-and-coming international talent in the UK, promoting a mobile and connected research workforce.Research Opportunities: Allows skilled researchers from around the world to set up and conduct creative, superior research in the UK.

Eligibility Criteria :
- PhD Requirement: Prior to the Fellowship start date, candidates must have a PhD or be nearing completion of their PhD, including the viva. Prior to the Fellowship being awarded, the PhD award must be confirmed.
- Experience in Postdoctoral Studies: Candidates must have completed at least seven years of full-time postdoctoral studies at the time of application, including teaching or industrial experience, but excluding career pauses.
- Location: Must be employed outside of the United Kingdom at the moment.
- Citizenship: Candidates cannot be citizens of the United Kingdom.
- Language Proficiency: Both written and spoken English must be mastered.
- Research plan: A well-defined, win-win research plan that has been approved by a UK host researcher is required.
