Early-career scholars are encouraged to investigate Virginia’s political economy, especially Adam Smith’s and the Austrian schools’ theories, through this one-year program. Fellows will attend talks, seminars, and networking events at George Mason University (Fairfax, VA) over the course of three weekends.

In addition to learning about cutting-edge research and possible funding opportunities for international conferences, participants will establish connections with a global network of Mercatus academics and students.The fellowship provides a rich international study environment and covers all costs, including a stipend, housing, meals, and transport. Eligibility Criteria :

  • Candidates must have finished their doctorate within the last six years.
