Do you want to travel to Germany for the summer? International students have the opportunity to conduct top-notch research at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) from July to September through the HZDR Summer Student Program 2025. Senior university students with a focus on the natural sciences and associated subjects are invited to participate in scientific initiatives and join research groups through this program.
In addition to lectures and lab tours, participants will receive a customized project plan and direction during the research process. Students in this program have a rare opportunity to have practical experience in a variety of natural scientific fields, such as the physical and biological sciences. Data analysis, scientific computing, and laboratory work are a few examples of possible responsibilities.
Although eight weeks is the ideal timeframe, the internship might last anywhere from six to nine weeks. In addition, participants receive extra assistance and advantages.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Currently enrolled in college, with a focus on the natural sciences (physical or biological sciences) or similar disciplines.
- Those with bachelor’s degrees who finished their third year of coursework before the summer of 2025 are eligible.
- To take part in all program activities, participants must be proficient in English.
- Grades and prior records must be used to indicate strong academic performance.
- For the period of the program (July to September 2025), a valid student ID and current university enrollment are required.
- PhD students and master’s degree holders who are not enrolled in classes are not eligible.
- Students who had a contract with HZDR one year before the target year’s July 1st are not eligible to apply.
- The quality of the curriculum vitae will determine the selection process.
