UTokyo Amgen Scholars Program 2025 in Japan (Fully Funded Internship)

We are pleased to announce the UTokyo Amgen Scholars Program 2025, one of the top fully sponsored internships available to international students in Japan! The University of Tokyo is currently accepting applications for this fantastic opportunity. Students from all over the world are welcome to apply for this fully paid summer internship program, which runs from June 5 to August 7, 2025.

Participants will receive a taste of academic life and tour the university campus during this internship, which gives them the opportunity to think about continuing their education at the University of Tokyo. Complete financial assistance will be provided to interns, which includes travel, lodging, food, and a stipend that can be used for any personal travel or expenses.This program is in line with Japan’s reputation as one of the best places to complete an internship abroad.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students in the USA and Europe are welcome to apply.
  • Asia: Bachelor’s degree candidates may apply if they are enrolled in an Asian university.
  • Students can apply from Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania.
  • Academic prerequisites:
  • completed undergraduate studies for a minimum of one year.
  • must not have received their degree before the commencement of the internship.
  • demonstrates excellent academic achievement.
  • Details of the internship:
  • Since it’s a summer internship, availability for the full program time is required.
  • For non-native English speakers, the following language requirements must be met:
  • Cambridge English FCE, TOEFL iBT 72, IELTS 5.5, TOEIC 1095, TOEIC L&R 785, or TOEIC S&W 310.
  • Interest:
  • showed a desire to obtain a PhD.

Benefits:

  • The University of Tokyo provides lodging, which is conveniently close to the Hongo Campus.
  • Stipend: Throughout the program, interns are given a stipend of 270,000 JPY to help with personal expenditures and food.
  • Travel: For participants from abroad, economy class flights to Tokyo are offered. If necessary, train tickets are given to domestic participants.
