Eligibility Criteria:
- Non-Chinese Nationals in Good Health: Candidates must be citizens of nations other than China and must be in good physical and mental health, fulfilling the Chinese government’s and Xiamen University’s health requirements.
- Age requirements and educational background (as of September 1, 2025):
- Bachelor’s Programs: Candidates must be under 25 years old and have completed high school, earning a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Master’s Programs: Candidates must be under 40 and hold a bachelor’s degree or above.
- Doctoral Programs: Candidates must be under 45 years old and have earned a master’s degree or above. By setting these age restrictions, applicants are guaranteed to fall within the normal range for pursuing higher degrees.
